Double Flanged (Canabrava) Suture tests! In 2016, Dr Yamane described the Flanged in a 3 piece IOL. Based on his idea, I created the Double Flanged Polypropylene Suture and many doctors ask about stability!
The 5.0 polypropylene is 10 times thicker and 100 times more resistent than the 10.0 polypropylene suture, ensuring longer stability and less risk of photodegradation.
However, we described this technique for the first time in 2017, than, more follow up are necessary to asses the exact outcomes.
